It happens to me (the thought), or I have at least felt that I have "woman chores". I seem to clean the Kitchen (Dave will ALWAYS pick up) but I am the one spraying bleach on the counter after he cuts chicken etc. I seem to be the one that always cleans the toilet and bathroom or washes the calphalon pans that can't go in the dishwasher. And I am usually okay with that, but some days I think... is this really just a wife's job?
AFTER TODAY I will NO LONGER think that. Because I have a job that is always reserved for Dave. And today I was reminded of that job. I opened the door of our walk-out basement (a little sleepy still) and a big-fat-blind mole ran right into my pink fuzzy thong slipper. I screamed shut the door kicked the mole into the shut door, re-opened the door and kicked the mole again this time kicking it outside while Stella and Gill tried to play with the mole. Then I slammed the door shut to watch another mole run around the bottom of the stair well while running into two frogs mating on the concrete floor. After a rain we sometimes get a mole or a frog at the bottom of the stairs, they fall down during the rain. But never have we had two frog (having sex) and two blind moles (running into the frogs having sex) after a rain storm. And all I could think was... Stella has to go through the car port to go to the bathroom today and Dave will defiantly take care of this when he gets home. I will never again think how horrible it is to wash the toilet or the dishes.... at least I don't have to work with live animals that might have diseases or something. Thanks Mr. and Mrs. Frog, and you two blind Moles for making me realize how much I appreciate Dave and the things he will do that I just won't do!
