The 5 Month Miracle!

Jack turned 5 months old yesterday. So last night as his 5 month present to David and I he slept from 9:30 pm. last night until 8:30 am. this morning. We are typical parents so we checked on him a few times throughout the night wondering why he wasn't waking us up. Maybe 5 months of not sleeping through the night got to him too. MAYBE~ he will think "that was nice, maybe I'll do that every night"! But I am not planning on it.

Dave and Jack on Friday morning (his 5 month Birthday) Sleeping I wanted to cuddle too... yes Jack has baseball socks on his hands. I am trying to figure out how to keep those little paws warm in the middle of the night because he FINALLY broke free of the swaddle!!!! (now I don't have to sew a Velcro swaddle for a 10-year old~ and now he can go to sleepovers at Friends!).

This is a picture of the first night he slept without the swaddle around his arms~yes it's still around his torso~ but the arms broke free~SCORE! he is indicating touch-down

Jack sleeping while getting a picture taken with Aunt Becca and Grandpa. Grandpa is always a good person to go to when it's nap time.

IT has been a while since I posted here is a video of Jack squealing... he liked to do this a lot once he learned how to make his voice go high. I heard he taught his friend Abbie to do it while she was visiting us in Haslett!

Dave and Jack relax after a hard day! So cute!

And finally I am posting pictures from when Matt, Mary and Abbie visited us in February for a little bit. Here Matt and Dave are just being proud daddies!

Jack is telling Abbie how she messed up. Dave and Matt are exactly one month apart. The plan was for Abbie to be born on September 13th (her due date) and Jack was to be born on October 13th (three days after his due date). Well, Jack held up to his end of the deal... Abbie didn't. Jack is telling her how she already messed up in her short life. Or maybe he is just gazing into her eyes and asking if she wants to go out and get a bottle of milk later.

Abbie and Jack Leaning on each other for emotional support... and probably will have to for years to come with their daddies (Their humor, jokes, sports talk, etc).
