Branch County deputies arrested the suspect on charges of fleeing and eluding police, carrying a concealed weapon and possessing stolen property, and on Indiana charges of armed robbery and fleeing and eluding police. He is lodged at the Branch County Jail.
Do you know who this was? The owner (and personal cook for my parents) of the Little Giant! Where my parents eat breakfast every Saturday, Sunday, and vacation days!!!! The place that asked my Uncle David how he wanted his eggs cooked...and he answered "cooked?" I guess in England the eggs only come one way.
Anyway, Terrible news in Battle Creek - The owner of the Little Giant ( aka Mr. Don's) was arrested after he implied he had a gun and robbed a Meijers store in Indiana. He was chased into Michigan by the Indiana police. The chase was then joined by police departments in Michigan and he crashed his vehicle in the getaway attempt. He got $60,000 dollars in the Meijers robbery and admitted he was the person who had robbed a different meijers store on July 6th and made off with 80,000 dollars. Hard to believe....

I am concerned about where your parents are going to eat now? Will they just starve? Is the Little Giant still serving up food? Maybe business will be better than ever now? We must know the truth!
They ate at the Little Giant over the weekend...it's open (for breakfast anyway) and it's "as quiet as a funeral" my mom claims!
What was he thinking? Try Village Inn for breakfast. In BC we have SO FEW choices!!
