I guess PETA is using science/technology/stem cell research at a whole new level. They are removing the unfair caging of these animals, the cruel death they endure, and steroids that are pumped into the birds. But does it hurt us differently? I guess they can use the stem cells from the "State Fair" winning Chicken that isn't on drugs. And those of you who love a good T-Bone Steak.... just think you could eventually one day go to a store and always buy the "perfect steak"!
I personally would still not be able to eat "lab created meat". Not only that but what about those who make a living off their farm that has been in their families for generations? Is it fair to them? Will PETA one day give a million dollars to save the chicken farmers? We have all seen the 20/20 reports on chickens and how KFC gets all their chickens (actually I have never watched it because I am already a vegetarian and grossed out by the thought). But is this really a step in the right direction? Do we (when I say we I mean those of you who eat meat) really want to eventually get all our meat from a lab?
